3 Christmas Celebrations Down, 1 To Go

We've made it to the final day of our Christmas celebrations. Since we will be hosting the meal today, that means we won't need to brave the cold. Following the Christmas Eve service at church last night, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner and exchanged gifts at my mother-in-law's home. She and others have been frequenting my Amazon wish list this year, so I have more books to adorn the shelves in my office. The 2 books I received were:

Reformed and Always Reforming: The Postconservative Approach to Evangelical Theology by Roger E. Olson

I always try to follow the work of professors I've had over the years. Roger E. Olson taught a theology class I attended at Bethel College back in the late 90's. More recently, I had the opportunity to hear him speak at the 2005 ETS conference in Valley Forge, PA.

Signs of the Spirit: An Interpretation of Jonathan Edwards' Religious Affections by Sam Storms

I'm a big fan of Jonathan Edwards. I first heard of this book from a blog post at Desiring God, which referenced an interview with Sam Storms about this book. You can find the blog post and link to the interview here: LINK
