Saying goodbye to vista

I've spent 6 months with vista on my laptop and have decided to go back to windows XP. Performance has been mediocre at best. Program compatibility has been challenging as well. I've noticed that many of the "big boys" in biblical and theological studies are using Macs. While the idea of buying a Mac would've seemed like hubris a few years ago, the idea is really growing on me. I'm sure Peter will keep praying for me to see the light. Do any of you have any words of wisdom or similar experiences with leaving vista or switching to Mac?

Well, I'm not sure that using a Mac is "seeing the light". But it has worked for me. And I think it could work for other folks too. But there is this inertia going for Windows that isn't slowing down very fast. Regardless of Windows or Mac's qualifications on what makes a good or great operating system, Windows has market share - and for a great many people and a great many businesses, that is sadly the only qualification that matters.
