Finding the time......
Do the rest of you suffer from an inadequate amount of available time? Work and family have been tapping most of my free time over the past few weeks. Carving out a little bit of space in my daily regimen for quiet time, exercise, reading, blogging, etc. has been very difficult. Ultimately, the solution I've come up with is to put myself on a planned schedule. I'm hoping this will allow me to make the most of the available time I do have. Also, I've been getting up an extra hour early in the morning. This has afforded me some extra time for prayer, bible reading and other reading (if there's any time left). Also, I've started either going for a walk or finding a quite place to read during my lunch break. Between rising early and using my lunch break, I've been able to reclaim 2 hours per day. Do any of you have any tips, tricks, or lifehacks for balancing schedules?

I find that it isn't so much having the time, but having the time at the right time of day. I like to read, learn, and otherwise try to better myself in a focused dedicated way say for a month out of each year. But with work, kids, etc, the free time seems to all be after 8pm at night. It's hard to study, think, and do any kind of learning at that time of day, so I spend it on easier tasks: watching tv, reading blogs, writing blog posts, reading twitter, etc.
Of course when it all comes down to it, it's just about prioritizing the things in your life, and being conscious enough to know where you are spending your time.
